Our judges dedicate around 6–10 hours over the judging period to review submissions and participate in virtual discussions. You’ll collaborate with fellow professionals to ensure a rigorous and fair evaluation process. Plus, you’ll get to tell us your preference of categories that align with your interests and expertise.

Before stepping into this rewarding role, it’s important to understand what’s involved. We’ve outlined the key expectations below and ask all potential judges to read them carefully to ensure they can commit. We ask judges to commit to attending 2 panel meetings during the judging period. The dates and times for these panel meetings will be agreed by group poll upon confirmation of panel membership. Our timeline for the judging process is: 

  • Tuesday 4 February, 23:55 GMT - Judge applications close
  • Thursday 20 February, 13:00 GMT - Judges' induction call with Chair of Judges', Matt Wingfield*
  • 4 March - 23 March - First round submission reviews (using our online judging system, Evessio)
  • 24 March - 28 March - First round online panel meetings (90-minutes) to decide shortlist
  • 24 April - 8 May - Second round shortlist submission review
  • 8 May - 15 May - Second round online panel meetings (90-minutes) to decide winners
  • Tuesday 10 June - eAA International Awards Gala Dinner, London

Whether you’re a practitioner, researcher, policymaker, or technology innovator, your unique perspective and insights will help us identify excellence in submissions. You’ll be asked to assess entries against established criteria, considering their innovation, impact, and contribution to the field.
